What do the references to HQ brick drops mean? Did they stop dropping, start someplace new, or no change? The normalize the merchant price gives me the impression that these are available on a merchant in unlimited quantity similar to other non human cultural bricks.

IIRC small pieces stopped dropping entirely so the put them back in under new conditions.

HQ bricks start dropping after the mentionned date, which means nothing changes for red/blue/green.

For the price I think it was just wrong for the era and changed it accordingly, that's it.

Update (I can't find an edit button): A fix from the thread about v59 worked. I copied the file dsetup.dll from a previous patch and everything is normal again. I used v58; the person in the thread used v56. Anything pre-59 may work.
Thats exactly how I fixed my to work. My only worry is that a future patch might not allow an old dsetup.dll

I just used the v58 dsetup.dll and I'm still getting an error. Any other ideas on what might get things to work? Thanks!

The problem solved with a pre-59 dsetup.dll is not an error message, and it's not slow/choppy gameplay. The game is completely frozen-- you can't do anything. You can't move, a lot of the keys don't work, and even char select is at <1 FPS, not an exaggeration.

Any other problem will likely not be fixed with an old dsetup.dll!

I can log in but at the character screen I get an error message about a file being incorrect:

spells_us.txt (1444581257)

This file is in the main folder and when I open it it's full of Chinese characters. Anyone have this issue?

I pulled the spells_us.text file from v58 and tried that and it did not work.

Sounds like you are moving more than just "dsetup.dll" from the old patch, run the new patch again, then only copy the "dsetup.dll" file from v58, a Ninja level trick is to patch while at log in screen, and it will patch everything but "dsetup.dll"

My concern is having to use other files people have been banned for changing files, so it would be nice if they would fix it on their end. Or if their was a fix we could do on our end like certain video card or whatever they are forcing us to use.

I've found three users (myself included) who use Parallels on Mac that have a peculiar problem after updating to v60. Sometimes when I log in now the game graphics move in extremely slow motion, such that the game isn't playable. All three of us had the same issue right after updating to v60. It's only fixed by rebooting Windows/Parallels.

I had an issue where I would log all the way in, but my character couldn't move and my brother couldn't even see me in game. I had to end up deleting the dsetup.dll from this version 60 and then copying and replacing it with the dsetup.dll from version 56. It fixed the problem. Something got botched in version 60's dsetup.dll file.
