So far, it isn't as good. It's great, but not AS good. That's my opinion on it so far.

Wizard's First Rule is the most difficult book I've tried to read. To put it this way, I've finished two other books including ADWD and still have 300 pages left of WFR. First off, Richard is a faggot. He turns down being a wizard because he wants to be a guide? Second, I'm sick of Kahlan beginning ever sentence with "[Insert Richard or Zed] I never..." before trailing off so Richard can rant about his feelings or their "friendship". I'm confident this book with was written by Goodkind to impress a girl he fawned after from High School. This guy:

Has created one of the most unbelievable female characters I can recall in a major novel and fused it with the most redundant dialogue I can recall. I'm sure it gets better, but there's been an easy 200 pages worth of bullshit someone at the editing house should have cut out. I get it, Richard loves Kahlan but their love isn't allowed because of magic which he hates. OMG it's like fantasy Romeo and Juliet! Give me a fucking break, dude is straight trash.

GRAWR however writes like a man giving a historical detail built from the memoirs and diaries of countless players in a grand war theater. One thing that cracks me up in his world is how all the "true men" characters have beards and how women mock guys without facial hair while jumping on guys with beards. Shit cracks me up because I can't help but think of his nasty Logger Santa style he's set up in 24/7.

Wizards first rule is one of the best in the series. I would quit while you are ahead.

Cyrano it sounds like you may have strayed a bit outside of your reading level. You might try getting a few more books under your belt.
