Yea it's really pointless for me to get back into this considering I spent hours responding on the other thread.

I still laugh at the fact that people say that global ooc makes things "easier." Yea, fucking, right. I could go to GFAY back in the day on my server and sell and make trades for just about anything in a matter of minutes. On this server? Ive spent fucking hours auction WTB for relatively crap items with no luck.

Oh yea global OOC makes it SOOOO EASY to find groups compared to live classic. Again, yea fucking right. Any dungeon you went to in classic had 5+ fucking groups in it and jumping in to replace someone was a joke and a half. Literally I don't remember spending more than 30 minutes to find a group in classic or at the very least get on a waiting list instantly. Yet I've spent hours struggling to keep one together here, especially in the wee hours.

Links dont affect the gameplay a lot(not at all); but open ooc does.

It has less than 300 votes and been back and forth to the front page for months. Not to mention the percentage of the vote has stayed relatively the same since the poll was started, doesn't seem "spammed" to me.

Yeah I mean I guess its how you interpret those results. Alot of votes went for when the population increases. "When the population increases" is very unclear, some people may have voted for that with a small increase or maybe people want to wait till 1000+ all the time. Wasn't a very good poll. Regardless, I think there will be a surge in population once the server reopens, and I wouldn't be surprised to see it around 800-900. So, I still stand by my belief that once the server reopens more people will want global occ turned off then on. I'm pretty sure someone will make another thread on this in a week or so haha, and then we can see.

That being said, I agree with you regarding the subject. I am just tired of Fin's bullshit.
We should keep the global chat for now, and people should stop making new threads about it. And in time, if the population rises enough, a legit thread regarding this issue will be created by the devs themselves when the time is right.
