It's doable with 40 it just requires *way* more farming and *way* more coordination. Even still, on initial attempts and without planar gear, there's some RNG involved (with EQ resists imagine that shit).
Am I just misunderstanding this completely? Naggy is a level 55 mob. Level 50's have a decent chance at resisting his ae's with 200+ resists, which are easily attainable with regular buffs (including bard songs) and decent gear. 3-4 groups, with good resists on the melees (no planar gear/tranix crowns required) can down him easily. I remember we killed Naggy in the lair on the kunark beta server with ~24 people, no deaths, and no walling, and that's nothing to brag about (and even though it was kunark beta, very few people in our raid force were higher than 51).

Go in there with a bunch of nuker shamans and druids in straight wisdom gear and you'll get my point.

It's a non ch, non DT, 32k hp mob. Tank, bard and clerics alone can kill it.

Others would have you believe he is killable with 13 people and you don't know how to play. /laugh

Why? To make CR's harder if we die to a train? You still haven't answered the question. Why would the fight be harder? You can still LoS everything... even if it's rooted at it's spawn.

If you can block the clerics from ae's then yea I guess....

If he's rooted in the room in a spot where that's not possible then will take a raid force

(haven't read all the posts above it but thats what I was gathering is the arguement here?)

Calm down, sonny.

Despite claims that I don't answer questions, I answer every single one.

You couldn't pull him out of his lair in classic EQ, nor could you nuke him outside of melee range. Either of these may have changed in current EQ. No, these weren't bugs either. This is how it was designed. It wasn't a bug, it was design intent.

I ask you to fight him in his room to kill him as the fight was intended and...

drum roll....

wait for it...

How it is supposed to work and how it worked during the classic era, even through Velious, on EQ Live.

God damn you cannot comprehend anything, no wonder you think Supreme has a grain of intelligence.

It's broken here, enjoy it (despite being told not to pull dragons out of their rooms)!

Specifically and this is a stupid question to have to answer: How could you ever die to a dragon in his lay with no resist gear on most of your players?

That's too hard of a question, ask Supreme.

You still can't I thought? Isn't he a belly-caster? This works fine on p99 iirc.

By which I mean, belly-casters are working as they should on p99, not that nuking belly-casters from far away works.
