They said very clearly you'll "earn" the quest (my guess, delivery me 5 rat furs!) and will be able to mix and match what you want from any classes.

This is everyone having access to every class.

They said there were going to be 8 base classes to choose from at the start.

Or it'll be like planetside 2 and you can either grind and find the classes, or buy them in the cash shop with your smedbucks.

I'm hoping its like what they mentioned about you can choose to be classes not available to your race, but it will involve questlines and finding out of the way trainers/etc to learn it, and doing so will ruin your faction/ties to your previous class.

What they will need to overcome is basically how hard the content will be. Will it require a tank? healers? or is everyone going to run around as the same class archtype.

If the content is unforgiving in a manner that players have to adapt a skill based system to exploit it, expect people to make their own arch-types of tanks/healers/dps.

I think if it's done right, they can have a true customizable class system.

But once again, here's hoping.

Everyone is going to be playing the same OP class combination. That one aspect of the game was the most disappointing to me.

Click Twitch link. At top-right of Twitch side area is a tab that has "Videos" as an option. Select that and you can watch all past videos.

Rift let you do that, but really you only had like 1-3 viable builds for every class (which would change every patch, hah)
