i like how you think me not voting is somehow a thing, voting is a blow off valve, designed by some very smart people who studied human history and they posed the question, how do we make the most powerful society that doesnt keep facing violent revolution.

Voting. The illusion of choice.

All it is, is a lever for the powerful to provide you with 2 options, that in the end take you down the same path. While relieving societies build up of pressure to make sure no violent revolution happens.

it's cute you guys believe in the system though, keep believing. I'm sure it will all work out for you, since it's been doing so well for you now.

So what do you propose instead? A monarchy? Theocracy? A high council of Elves?

If a Democratic Republic is so broken, how would we fix it?

I'm assuming the people who think voting is consenting to war crimes also don't pay taxes. Or is it okay to pay for war crimes as long as you don't go in a box and say whose face you want on tv?

my grandfather used to work as a boat mechanic for coolidge, my family has not paid taxes for a little over 100 years now. We have served presidents in some form or capacity ever since. From OSS to training the shah of iran's pilots from the CIA today.

You know why i said real americans earlyer? It's because we are, and all of you are just passing through.

Ah, why consent to war crimes or pay for them when you can work for war criminals committing war crimes.

Much like Polycaster who couldn’t define “real American ,” I’m curious why you think you are. Again, touting your family’s accolades.

Your stories get more outlandish every time. CIA?? And not paying taxes for 100 years?....well that makes you three things. Either a leech on the system, an ACTUAL criminal for tax evasion, and probably a liar. So you work at Cornell but your pay ISN’T taxed??

Your house of cards is slowly tumbling down Mr./Ms. double PhD Ivy-leaguer (who somehow writes like a middle schooler).
