Sorry but your doctor is a moron. It's certainly possible the stroke was caused by the vaccine. It's also possible that it was caused by him turning his neck the wrong way while backing out of the driveway. And it's far more plausible the stroke was associated with actual COVID.
The thing is, he had zero evidence for a statement like that and was clearly just broadcasting his biases to you.
Also, to answer your question, the vaccine is generally recommended for people with underlying health problems (depending on the problems) because the risks of COVID in that population (not just death but damage and/or disability) are far greater than the risks associated with the mRNA vaccines.
It's the same reasoning behind airbags. Airbags can fuck you up. They can kill you. In some situations they can cause a fatality that never would have been a fatality without the airbags. But statistically you are far safer with them, because the alternative is even worse. And I know you anti-vax people aren't going to believe me or any scientists, opting instead to believe random liars on facebook, but the mRNA vaccines genuinely aren't all that dangerous. Your wife/GF's birth control is more dangerous than the vaccines. If you go to the hospital with afib and they give you amiodarone, that's about 10x more dangerous than the vaccines. And I guarantee you won't be bitching about that because the alternative is an ischemic stroke.
