What the fuck is that supposed to mean? We already have the most powerful military in the history of humanity, and we spend oodles of money on it, far more than anyone else, and far more than we need to. These fucks want more defense spending?

WHAT!? Weren't you paying attention. We have B-52 planes from WW2 and stuff some old President from 60 years ago commissioned. Our military is in need of rebuilding and combat readiness updates.

That's because there is little need for a strategic bomber. We have the B2 stealth bomber to deliver nukes as part of the triad, and a shortage of targets that need carpet bombing. These days bombing is primarily delivered with precision by multirole aircraft. Trust me, the way our military industrial complex works, if the military wanted a replacement for the B-52 they would have gotten it. Strategic bombers are also by far the least important part of nuclear deterrence.

Our military is also the most "combat ready", highly trained, and well-equipped in the world when you take its size into account. And that's not with patriotic nationalist blinders on, it's just fact.

Imo the valid criticisms about our military would be moving away from increasingly obsolete aircraft carriers (they would all be sunk or relegated to port quite quickly in any conflict with a major power) and more research into genetically engineered bioweapons with the power to decimate an economy. (China would have a tough time waging war if we did to their rice crop what the blight did to potatoes in Ireland)
