Hey fellas, I'm in a pickle and maybe someone has had a similar problem! The new patch broke Vile's lovely wineskin wrapper for my 2012 Mojave, and I can't seem to fiddle it into working (won't launch with winestable). So I got bootcamp working with Windows 10, did a meticulous install, I can log in and go to character select, but all the models are missing and it looks like the textures are all grey smears... I can go ingame, I see mobs names but everything else is invisible/textureless. Other servers on eqemu I can see new models for armor, but no faces/heads. Tried a complete uninstall, even more meticulous reinstall and patch, no dice. Any ideas? Thanks for the help-

Just copy the everquest folder from the wineskin wrapper that was working before.
Easier than troubleshooting why your fresh install isn't working [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.].

Hey everyone - I'm using Vile's wineskin wrapper too. I can get up to the character select page, but it says my spells are out of date (even though I'm updated everything from the most recent V50 file folder.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Tried moving my working Mojave wrapper over to my Catalina partition and no luck opening EQ. Tried to install from scratch and it doesn't appear WINE is yet compatible. I confirmed on the WineHQ forums that the team is still working on this but they do not have an ETA. I would say that if you rely on Wine to run p99, don't upgrade. Or make sure to set up bootcamp beforehand.

I'm not an expert on any of this, but tried a few different things to get it working to no avail.

Yeah Bootcamp did it for me too, but on my second attempt. This page has all the info you need, the links to free, legal Windows 10 from microsoft, and then just don't let the OS update or change your graphic drivers at all when it first boots up, that screwed up my first attempt. Also have a USB mouse handy for when you first boot up, or you'll be stuck, you can call up an onscreen keyboard until you boot up and add your wireless bluetooth mac stuff from the settings window. If you have an old piece of trash like me, you'll need to have a 16 GB usb drive sitting around to house the OS too. Good luck-

After a re-install of my MacBook Pro around half a year ago I could not get wineskin to work again (I had been playing for a long time using Wineskin). I tried a lot, new install of eq in the wrapper, updating the wrapper with recommendation from this thread, Vile's wrapper, etc. I then installed bootcamp and played there, but with the advent of green I decided to give it another go and to my surprise got it working on my Mojave installation. This is what I did:

1. Remove all old P99 wrappers, wine, wineskin etc.
2. Installed latest Wine stable (v.4.0.2)
3. Installed latest Wineskin Winery (v.1.7)
4. Created New Blank Wrapper in Wineskin Winery
5. Name it P99 or similar and install EQ Titanium using "Install Software" in Wineskin
6. After installing make sure to select the correct windows exe (will be eqgame.exe) (under "Advanced")
7. Add "patchme" to the exe-flags (under "Advanced")
8. Under "Screen options" deselect "Auto Detect GPU Info for Direct3D"
9. Under "Advanced" click tools and "Winetricks", under dlls click d3dx9 and under settings glsl=disabled (not sure if this is really necessary), but worked for me.
10. Under "fonts" (still in "Winetricks") click "corefonts", under settings click videomemorysize=2048. Then click "Run" to install these elements.
11. Apply latest patch from project1999 to the EQ folder
12. Create an eqclient.ini file in the Everquest directory and paste in:

[Defaults]
WindowedModeXOffset=1
WindowedModeYOffset=1
WindowedMode=TRUE
[VideoMode]
Width=1024
Height=768
WidthWindowed=1024
HeightWindowed=768
WindowedWidth=1024
WindowedHeight=768
FullscreenBitsPerPixel=32
FullscreenRefreshRate=0

13. Edit as needed for your screen-size.
14. I then had problems with wineskin not being able to run "dsetup.dll", but after I changed the engine used (under "Tools", "Change Engine Used") to "WS9Wine2.22" it worked like a charm.

Hope it can help getting you ready for Green!
