-Government is not asking you to “give.” It’s taking what is owed, thus the meaning of taxes. You OWE the IRS; they are not asking for a gift. A gift, akin to a donation, is in itself non-taxable, if given to a tax-exempt organization.

A Semite is someone who spoke a Semitic language, which Jews did. Further, to be a Jew is both a religion and an ethnicity.

Also, taxes are at historically low numbers, having decreased significantly from decades ago. This is true for the middle class, but ESPECIALLY true for the top earners in the United States.
