People think "defund the police" and "the green new deal as envisioned by a 15 year old highschool sophmore" are fuckin crazy proposals, because they are. i just want people in other states to get the healthcare i have, which saved my life. it's not my fault the CIA attaches crazy shit to it to discredit it.
The good news is the green new deal is so stupid and contrary to industry that you never ever have to take it seriously when brought up. It's just a pandering mechanism. Defund the police, however, has enough traction to be scary. I wish there was a White-centric progressive party. | ||

george floyd was having a mental health breakdown. just 1 social worker in the crew to turn things back from a militant posture would have saved his life. Instead it was all very ugly ego and force games, just because they couldn't fkn stand for 5 seconds by the open door of the car and explain. I've had a medically induced freakout like that, where physical escalation would have reflected into me regardless of my own safety, and the idea that some cop would pin me to the pavement with a knee on my neck is so gross.
The plastic "spit hood" from iraq that suffocated that guy who puked is another case of punitive measures where practical would be better. Like, make the spit hood permeable or put a small frame inside it so there's space. A single review by a person who wasn't a head stomper would have detected this process anomaly. | ||
