If you want something now, heres some options:

The Exiled - Formerly called Das Tal, has permadeath.

Crowfall

Camelot Unchained

All of which require buying into the beta. The only one I have played is The Exiled, tho it's been several months. It's unfinished for sure, but you can murder people so thats better than most other options.
Null have you played camelot unchained yet or no?

I didnt even know they were allowing early access til null posted that. Now to see if it is all access or just some weekend open beta vullshit they try to push.

I really like the idea of 3-6 month campaigns. I wish project 1999 would have a similar view.

Crowfall looks like it has a long time before release though.
