What we saw when we actually pvp'd for mobs
-We were outgeared and outleveled
-Each Nihilum would plug 2, 3, or 4 level 60's fully buffed into the zone line being contested.
-Every Nihilum has a soulfire and trak tooth
-If we win, someone throws the light switch, nerfs charm animal, or bans the opposing guild for using the same strats used by Nihilum for months. Signing bonuses start getting offered on Craigslist.
What you missed - Raze sounding like he wanted to cry when you guys took Trak at 5am.

chuckled slightly. listen man, I feel you, competition would be fun, the server is incredibly boring. I just strongly feel variance / staggered spawns w/e you want to call it isn't going to help and in fact would hurt you guys more while also making the game even shittier for us. I feel the best chance you guys have is the fact that they all spawn on top of each other and you can snipe a target while we're doing another or set up before we get there or what not. Having said that, I'd be open to trying variance on a TRIAL basis for a month to see what would happen. Of course this is all a waste of breath because we know how many fucks are given here.

Red 99 just needs item loot so there is reason to make lowbie twinks to do battle with high stakes.

And a reason to literally hunt players for loot rather than just pride. No one has enough pride at stake in p99 to really do what it takes to achieve victory. I'm not going to put leveling up on hold to get together a few level 20's ish friends to try to gank a level 20+ sk in unrest if its just to teleport him back to Gfay zone line. I will just do my level 20-40 grind somewhere else.

You guys are laughs. Without item loot PVP is a slight motivation for getting high level and getting good gear, and a slightly exciting element of the game, but for the person who knows they are weaker than their opponent the only good strategy is to avoid battle to hurry up and get some levels.

Item loot is crucial to making PVP have a point. I can solo level 1-50 on almost any character wearing full banded, or full cloth + whatever random dropped + int + mana stuff that is seriously worth like 50pp a piece, no problem. For standard lowbies, item loot offers absolutely no disadvantage. It does offer the strong incentive to take out twinks and try to steal their excellent gear.

+ it gives people a reason to wear random funky no drop gear like "shin" armor from lguk and stuff.

P.S. the reason nihilum keeps being the strongest guild is because anyone dedicated enough to beating them will choose to just join them. If they stopped accepting skilled and dedicated players, than they would have competition, but most people that just want loot opportunities will simply join Nihilum. There is no reason to compete for most players and when people see all of the /mad going on in threads like this it makes it clear that other guilds don't have the dedication needed to take these mobs from nihilum. It just takes serious serious serious butt hours and the people willing to put those hours in just join the team that will give them loot rather than a lot of rants.

A lot of you underestimate the numbers its going to take to kill a major named in velious.. You are all bitching about 30 right now, expect around 60 come velious. And even at 60 or so players its not a zerg its a necessity if any one guild intends on killing anything of significance.

Aside from a few vp pieces and epics, kunark gear in a nutshell is pretty bad. Its more than possible to compete against a VP geared guild with drops available to the more casual of players. It just takes some organization and skill.

Nihilum isnt doing anything that I myself or anyone else wouldnt do. If the shoe was on the other foot are you all saying you would just allow the potential competition to have raid mobs? Or that you would split your guild in two for the betterment of the server? If you answered yes to those questions then you are delusional.

If people really want to compete against nihilum like they say they do then they will stop throwing temper tantrums and rage logging over not getting a raid boss. Instead they should learn from the mistake made and work on strengthening numbers and getting more efficient at mobilizing for a raid so they can try again next week. As it stands right now you cant even attempt to compete because with one loss half of you whine and rage quit.

The majority of stoners that don't make the cut into nihilum really don't give a fuck about any of this. It will never happen.

There will never be an underdog guild that kicks ass. That wants to succeed. Maybe... Heresy, maybe LiteGuildv2.0

But ya'll are still to divided up and with your own agendas and short term desires.

I bowed out of that shit a long time ago to level alts and fuck around having fun 1-30-40

Maybe one day I'll give a shit again. But its unlikely.

But Terp is 100% right. People just don't want to, are afraid to, can't (physically and mentally incapable) of investing time in mobilizing, training, and supporting a guild.

If my purpose was pixel farming this box I would have never come back. Because I know Nihilums opposition has a long way to go to even have a chance at acting like a professional team.

Simply put, the majority of serious people on this box seem to be in Nihilum. A few hardcore dedicated pvpers aside.

Didn't read past first page, But you said "so Classic can bank some horn of wars"? There is PLENTY of dragon loot a majority of the guild still needs, We don't bank every single piece of dragon loot then have a auction once a month for bank cleanouts. Our members would actually use the items, They wouldn't go to a bank char to sit and be sold. You guys have no reason to kill them other then to gather more dragon loot to sell. But you are all picky about what you sell, You don't want to allow any wizard epics or possible fight changing items out on the market. You took a mage staff epic MQ for 3 fungi tunics which was an obvious deal since we had them available. But you knew the value of it due to the coming invis pull nerf that hit 2 weeks after making the trade a substantial win.

But anyway, Like the others said...On non raid day/trak spawns, You see the same dozen or so nihilum members on only. The rest only login for respawns.

Terp,

You would be right if people didn't rage log because Lite tells people to run in a cave as a "viable" pvp strat.

But ya, i know what you are saying. I'd be down to sit by karnors zone-line and have a plug battle than get wiped at Trak lair. Especially after these gay rogue nerfs.
