I'll try to work up some tears just for you. Actually, what I'm going to do is take advantage of the xp bonus to finish my ranger. In the short term, I'm making tea. Like some?

My favorite lately has been this Ruby Red Chai based on rooibos, naturally caffeine free, with a little milk and honey. Lemongrass and mint does sound tasty, though.

This sounds like the voice of experience. Did you do a lot of crying when you got kicked out of IB? Maybe I better brace myself. I could be in denial and the tears will be endless starting later today!

There's a small group of people who matter in IB and I was never in that group.
Every game, every server, every guild has one of these sadly.

I'm not even particularly resentful about it. I was kinda pissed off for a few minutes that I was taken out by Otto, who has been afk for most of the last six months and who leveled his monk alt instead of showing up for the boss spawn camping, but I'm already over it. IB hasn't really been very much fun since the Karsten/Crow/Hasbinbad days. Ventrilo and guild chat used to be hilarious, now it's all CLEAR VENT and CLEAR GUILD CHAT and NO TALKING IN PUBLIC CHANNELS.

I know there are people who want to play like that, but it's not my idea of a good time. I'm always confused by the people who want to be treated like a servant. I guess that, just like there are natural born leaders, there are also natural born followers.

I'm neither, consider me an outlaw because I for one think your leaders are a bunch of pussies and the followers are mere sheep that are just in it for the prestige and gear.

IB was no special case, when they got tore the fuck up by one of my trains they were sending me tells "Don't talk to me dude [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]" and "Fuck you Abacab!" so certainly for a guild that thinks they are elite and among the top they got curb stomped by one rogue and the Nagafen claim was handed to their Rivals (DA) courtesy of Abacab.

Fuck your elitism, it ain't shit when I'm playing in game

Plus: Natural Born Fucking Idiots

I feel you on the possessive feeling in a guild though. Hardcore raiding has always lead to a decline in MMO's due to them being catering to. Hardcore raiding also led me to quit every game I've played.

I was willing to do what it took but there needed to be a balance. When the game stopped being fun and turned into work (literally), it was time to go.

3:20am - Thursday
*phone rings*
Me: "Hello?"
Guild Leader: "Why aren't you on? DV is trying to creep on Avatars"
Me: "Go ahead and fuck yourself bro, I'm not logging into raid."
Guild Leader: "You agreed to call list, you need to be on if you want to stay a member"
Me: "Get fucked.. *click*"
