![]() It happens, no one thinks Asgard did it on purpose. The chaos is part of the fun.
As for variance, the best idea I've heard mentioned isn't to decrease variance, its to increase it right to the entire duration of a mobs respawn time. So if Trakanon has a three day respawn, make variance +/- 3 days. EVERY raid mob would ALWAYS be in window. No more socking. It would all be about mobilization. | ||

![]() Classic EQ = no variance. It's pretty stupid to keep in hybrid penalties, no luclin graphics, and pet exp stealing, but then crap out when it comes to something as big as how raiding worked. The server philosophy has always been to make things as classic as possible...except for raiding because some are of the opinion (based on no evidence) that this way works better for more people. I honestly think it's just a cover to deal with the problem of server lag with hundreds of people in a zone.
