Im still playing Jedi Academy like 10 years later, i can do the same thing with unreal 2004. What if they decide to shut down the servers when they decide in 2-3 years to launch another SW game? So much fail in whats around the game, notwithstanding what the game is actually like. Asking people to pay 50$ for content you have no idea what its gonna be is seriously taking people for suckers. As long as people fall for it, why should they stop doing it? Rule #1 stop being a sucker enabler. Boycott EA

There really isn't anything unique or interesting about the new SW game. Without that IP it would just be another steam midweek madness title in a month.

Didn't stop tens of thousands of fanboys from hanging out in cantinas and grinding class xp in hope of unlocking Jedi. Sometimes strong IP can make up for meh gameplay. Honestly it doesn't have to be stellar, it just has to be adequate.

SWG was a sandbox done horribly. It learned almost nothing from UO, magnifying the FOTM (flavor of the month) problems.
SWG was only fun if you were a temploiter. Sure, it's fun if you can take on (and kill) crowds of people at low risk, because you read about the best temploits online. Yey combat medics! But as a whole, the game was a remarkable failure of undelivered promises, a system built on grinding, and the absolute worst balance I've ever seen in an MMO.
