The B-ripple police department pays it's officers 125k a year, where Hasbinbad lives they are paid upwards of 200k a year... Plus they get to take their squad cars home and milk the taxpayers for free gas, and use their badge to get free food, discounts, free rent at upscale apartments etc.

Add all those benefits into their gross pay they're probably making 350k a year, that's more than Ph.D level engineers.

Which is why corruption is so high and cover-ups are common place, if you're getting $200,000 a year with free gas and free food with nothing more than a GED and a small military record you're set for life especially when you retire and milk in HUGE benefits. Most police officers in that bracket know if they were fired and retained the stigma of being a "bad cop" the best job they can get with those credentials is working summer construction for a whopping $11 p/h
100% bullshit aba. link me proof of this.

True, but the asshole stockboy, or the asshole receptionist isn't pulling you over writing you $300 in tickets for touching the yellow line on the road, they aren't calling dogs to search your car, they aren't running up in your party attempting to arrest people.

They aren't throwing you in jail, ruining your life by enforcing the state's rules on you, they aren't profiling you because of your skin, your hair, your clothes, and use that as a means to harass you.

There is a big difference between an asshole who does nothing more than stack cheerios on a shelf, and an asshole who is given a gun and free reign to extort you.

Once again...your talking about the 5% of the police officers at most. Most officers WILL pull you over if YOU did something stupid and against the law.

Just look at city data, it was also in the news.

Some of these officers and sheriff's are making 200k a year

Based on a 13 city salary comparison VPD:

1) is the highest paid

2) works the fewest hours to get the highest pay

3) Vallejo officers receive $129,632 in total compensation during the first year

In that article was city workers that include hospital staff and firefighters....do you hate them too? And by the looks of it, it was due to overtime pay (which is usually double the pay). So if they were making 50,000 a year and worked some heavy duty over time..that could raise some bucks.
By the looks of it, California is spending their money carlessly...it isnt the police officers. In Minnesota (which is one of the higher paying police departments in the U.S.) the average starting salary is 55,000

I linked it earlier

"fundamental principle of American law that a government and its agents are under no general duty to provide public services, such as police protection, to any individual citizen." [Warren v. District of Columbia, 444 A.2d 1 (D.C. Ct. of Ap., 1981)]"

They're pulling my over for doing something wrong not for the citizenry, they're doing it for the state. Their oath "To protect and serve" does not apply to you and I, it applies to the State's interests, their rules, their finances.

You ever wonder why the drinking age is 21? Why you can't buy tobacco until you're 18? Why you can't sit on your porch and have a beer without being arrested for public intoxication cause you are in "plain sight"?

These are federal and state laws that they can tag you with, to fill for-profit prisons, to extort you out of money as you plead to probation. The United States of America has the most populated prison population, some of the strictest social and property laws next to theocratic jihadist states.

You'll get a year in prison if you like the drink a little too much and decide to go barhopping and subsequently get stopped. You can be 14 and drunk off your ass in Sweden and the only threat is passing out in the snow.

the ONLY freedom you have in America is the freedom to bitch because sitting at home on the computer crying about "injustice" as a much better alternative for the state than actually taking up arms and rioting like it happens in France.

Here in America, you don't own your money, you don't own your land, you don't own your name, or your body... all of those things are controlled, and regulated by the state, they'll tell you how much to pay them, what you can or cannot put in your body, they'll make you draft yourself, subscribe to compulsory taxation and citizen upkeep and keep registered in social security.

Ain't no democracy here bro, it's a plutocracy with a constitution to keep you happy so you keep buying.

Do I hate doctors... Sure. For them to sew my hand up with 5 stitches that's going to run me $3,728, I might as well staple that shit my self and put some neosporin on it. God forbid you have something life-threatening, be prepared to pay in the hundreds of thousands for treatment because the health care system revolves around the big insurance companies.

Can't pay the doctor because you're poor and don't have insurance? Be prepared to get litigated by their parent insurer and have everything you own taken away and be thrown in prison since hospitals can now criminally prosecute you for failure-to-pay.

Well bud, im happy to live in America..and I dont like taxes nor does anyone else, but you got to pay them and follow the rules. If you have a problem with rules/laws and America...then please move to a place like Africa and live your life to the benefit of yourself.

As for firefighters... If you don't charter them out for the price they want, or if your community doesn't want to pay the outrageous property tax for their service, then next time your cooking goes awry be prepared to live in the street as no insurance company will insure your house UNLESS you pay the fire department gross sums of money to come and throw water on your house.
