They aren't throwing you in jail, ruining your life by enforcing the state's rules on you, they aren't profiling you because of your skin, your hair, your clothes, and use that as a means to harass you. There is a big difference between an asshole who does nothing more than stack cheerios on a shelf, and an asshole who is given a gun and free reign to extort you.

Just look at city data, it was also in the news. Some of these officers and sheriff's are making 200k a year Based on a 13 city salary comparison VPD: 1) is the highest paid 2) works the fewest hours to get the highest pay 3) Vallejo officers receive $129,632 in total compensation during the first year

By the looks of it, California is spending their money carlessly...it isnt the police officers. In Minnesota (which is one of the higher paying police departments in the U.S.) the average starting salary is 55,000

"fundamental principle of American law that a government and its agents are under no general duty to provide public services, such as police protection, to any individual citizen." [Warren v. District of Columbia, 444 A.2d 1 (D.C. Ct. of Ap., 1981)]" They're pulling my over for doing something wrong not for the citizenry, they're doing it for the state. Their oath "To protect and serve" does not apply to you and I, it applies to the State's interests, their rules, their finances. You ever wonder why the drinking age is 21? Why you can't buy tobacco until you're 18? Why you can't sit on your porch and have a beer without being arrested for public intoxication cause you are in "plain sight"? These are federal and state laws that they can tag you with, to fill for-profit prisons, to extort you out of money as you plead to probation. The United States of America has the most populated prison population, some of the strictest social and property laws next to theocratic jihadist states. You'll get a year in prison if you like the drink a little too much and decide to go barhopping and subsequently get stopped. You can be 14 and drunk off your ass in Sweden and the only threat is passing out in the snow. the ONLY freedom you have in America is the freedom to bitch because sitting at home on the computer crying about "injustice" as a much better alternative for the state than actually taking up arms and rioting like it happens in France. Here in America, you don't own your money, you don't own your land, you don't own your name, or your body... all of those things are controlled, and regulated by the state, they'll tell you how much to pay them, what you can or cannot put in your body, they'll make you draft yourself, subscribe to compulsory taxation and citizen upkeep and keep registered in social security. Ain't no democracy here bro, it's a plutocracy with a constitution to keep you happy so you keep buying.

Can't pay the doctor because you're poor and don't have insurance? Be prepared to get litigated by their parent insurer and have everything you own taken away and be thrown in prison since hospitals can now criminally prosecute you for failure-to-pay.

Well bud, im happy to live in America..and I dont like taxes nor does anyone else, but you got to pay them and follow the rules. If you have a problem with rules/laws and America...then please move to a place like Africa and live your life to the benefit of yourself.

As for firefighters... If you don't charter them out for the price they want, or if your community doesn't want to pay the outrageous property tax for their service, then next time your cooking goes awry be prepared to live in the street as no insurance company will insure your house UNLESS you pay the fire department gross sums of money to come and throw water on your house.
