As I have posted on another thread of this same general theme, I have no real problem with Dial a Port. I don't have a bard, but I've never been denied service by any of them.

IF, however, I were to be denied service, I would do one of two things: I would ask another dial a port, or I would ask one of their officers in a /tell whether this was a new guild policy. I somehow doubt that it is.

I have a level 58 druid. I do port people from time to time. Some tip me very well. Some are horrible at tipping. I haven't found that any one class is any better or any worse than others, although I have found that the members of many of the "elite" guilds on the server tend to be a little worse tippers.

Its his choice if he wants to limit his customer base by excluding bards. He has the right to refuse service to anyone, for anything, in my opinion.

This is an outrage. I'm going to be denying DaP all of my bard service because of this travesty.

This gentleman no longer has membership in Dial, in case anyone cares.

I care. Was he removed because of this? Or did he quit to greener pastures? Thanks in advance.
His rather unique discriminatory policy was brought up in guild chat and it didn't sit well with many members. The ensuing discussion (and the insistence that this topic be brought to the attention of guild leadership) ended with him leaving the guild of his own volition.

Aye indeed, Rozcoe has left Dial a Port because he didnt want this to be associated with Dial a Port. As the resident Dial a Port, Expert Excrement Expeditor I can say that this does not represent Dial a Port or all porters of Dial. It is one thing to generalize and spew hate..its another to generalize overtop another generalization. Don't judge all bards for some bards actions just like we must not judge all Dappers as bad for some that dont follow the same protocol as others or leadership.

Thanks

There is a lot to be said but I will keep it short.

He left because he didn't want drama.

He followed the rules that we provide even when baited with racist comments.

We as a guild have no problem with someone saying they won't port someone.

And I will state that I have no problem with how he handled it.

For those who think that he was in the wrong and bash him shame on you everyone is entitled to their opinion and as long as they stay in our guidelines we won't impose. Personally I think he did a great job handling the situation and staying within our rules.

I am sad he left and if he ever wants to come back I will open that back up to him.

Just because we are a service guild here to serve the server.... We are still players and not just robots that follow as needed.

Knowing Valse I am sad to see what happens but even sadder what he said and his actions. When he knows he could of asked anyone else for a port. It's a shame he went this route.
