You're right it is their problem. But it slowly becomes a public problem when they start 4chan style posting. What do I mean by this?
Well basicly someone will make a post that is 'out there' and other people will joking go along with it. Until someday someone who really believes in that post starts posting those things as truth. All of a sudden you have people going from joking to being sickly serious.

That is when it matters when people who do not know the difference start joking and then seriously start posting negativity.

I'd bet anyone on this forum that half of the people who say the negative things about swish are just saying it to follow in suit with other people as a joke or less serious nature. Meanwhile there are real sicko's trying to damage a community member reputation.

I'm not making any of this up.
Please don't try to misconstrue my words. This is only one aspect of things. In how people who know virtually nothing about the dude will say the meanest things for no reason.

Swish got me seriously interested in red. He helped me understand the lay of the land on there. In turn I had a fantastic experience. I PVP'd in Everquest and it wasn't bad. Please don't miss understand this. I'm not trying to push red on anyone. I'm just saying that if swish wasn't a member of this community I wouldn't have touched red. Red is a big part of this community despite how some of you view it's population.
There is one true fact about why I believe swish is a good community member. Stated in full.

On Blue, it gave me a exceptional sense that the community of the forums was a real living part of the community in game. AND IT IS!
Swish on blue is pretty fucking cool in my opinion. It's a memory I enjoy and one that I think other people can relate to.
After that I never felt like forums and in game were totally separate. To this day I've been proven right that they go hand in hand.

So @burkemi5 You have no proof that he is an 'idiot' with an 'ego'. Because that is your opinion. It doesn't influence the community or people's experiences in game at any time. If you really believe what you say, why say anything at all. Shouldn't people realize this by now?

I think the fact that there are people who aren't total shitters that like swish proves something. We have seen shitters group up on these forums, I don't need to name, names. Swish was never a part of their shenanigans.

BDA went to Phinny and seems most the Swish haters were them. I never had an issue with BDA and questioned the fervor of Swish's crusade against them, but I think he was just looking to defend the interests of smaller guilds. Whether you are with him in that crusade or not, he's always been helpful to new and existing players, giving advice on gameplay and tech, etc.

you have presented your opinion and a data point in favor of it. why try and convince you that swish is not an upstanding community member in the face of your insistence that he is? your faith is religious; we have nothing to gain by it.

those of us who dislike swish do it because of what he has posted in the past. it has nothing to do with the weird things you are insinuating, how it's some sort of groupthink or whatever. we're not going to dig up those posts for you to judge whether or not you personally feel they were disruptive. you can think what you want to think.

but I assure you that the many who dislike swish dislike him because of his posts. that's all the reason you need.

Making accounts to circumvent a ban will result in a longer or permanent ban. Llandris posted a reminder on this sometime within the last year or so.
