Thats what some said about the ec tunnel too.

Crazy thing is... in a niche game like eq you only need a few hundred or maybe a thousand other misfits and things just work out.

Ldon's release marks the end of true classic Everquest.
At the time we thought it was great but looking back I really dislike it. EQ was already dead at this point. Prefer the D&D style dungeons of classic like Guk, Perma, Befallen, Sol(s). Traps, false walls/floors and the overall style to them. LDoN was boring but it fed the reward mechanism people have which is in game design now. Instances do not belong in EQ, ever.

Agree. It really took the sense of accomplishment out of getting drops. If felt nice at the time to gear up characters quickly, but also devalued an essential part of what made EQ...EQ.

I agree with this. Slotted gear was cool in FFVII though...
