Those are phrases for the most part, based on scales (of course) and also a similar exhibition of skill, but there is obviously thought behind every note of this piece.

I tend to agree, that prob wasn't the best song to post. Portal are about atmosphere and aesthetics. There's pretty much nothing out there that are like what they're doing in death metal. Which doesn't automatically make them good, but I dig them immensely.
