Phobia to me always seems like a weird word choice

I am not immune to fear. I have a borderline phobia of sharks. Went through a shark phase as a kid where I studied them (mako was my favorite), drew them all day in class at school, etc. Then came 10ish straight years of shark nightmares. When I was jet skiing in the ocean off of Mexico and 7 foot dolphin shadow passed beneath my jet ski I became is paralyzed by fear thinking it was a shark that I almost fell onto it (before realizing that thank God it was just a dolphin)

If I have a phobia of any type of person, it would probably be a gang or cartel in the ghetto at night as a white dude. And I consider that a pretty rational phobia

So this idea of a phobia of lgbtqiat+*%*{} people is kind of absurd. It’s not a hate either. I dunno the right words because it varies from person to person but those probably aren’t as accurate as others could be
