We shouldn’t ignore statistics to pad feelings. And no don’t ask me to do race next, we already know where that road goes lol

But it's also absolutely true that races commit crimes at different rates, should we allow drivers to be able to chose who they pick up based on race?

OR should we just increase police budgets, increase incarceration rates, so we all live as equals in society?

Should we allow drivers to be able to see the race of the rider or driver on the app?

Sure, negative connotations is up to the individual, allowing people to see it has lots of advantages as well. In my work if I’m trying to locate a client in a public place, I absolutely am allowed to ask ahead of time what race they are. And no one is going to be like “EXCUSE ME SIR”…lol

Women can ALREADY discriminate in their drivers and riders because I’m 90% sure uber already records and displays your gender? But it’s been a while since I rode. Even if it doesn’t, if it says your name a lot of women could use that to discriminate

So it’s a moot point, the option to do is already there and up to the user. All that change would do is streamline it and save a user maybe a few minutes having to filter people themselves

Even after desegregation individuals were capable of discriminating on their own so that's not an argument for or against it as official policy.

Hey I'm not the one who apparently thinks legal mexican immigrants are racist against their own race, because they strongly support deporting illegal mexican immigrants, for the exact same reasons that the supposedly racist people do.

I'd love to hear the tortured logic behind how that's possible. But I'm already flirting with another ban I'm sure..
