Its a graphics issue, not a game mechanic, see if the people in technical discussion can figure it out.

If I can see it but others cannot I believe it is a game issue, correct?

Specifics, please! The issue, as I am sure you are aware, is that all players can see the epic on their own character, but nobody else's character.

i believe this is a lost cause. i remember signing the petition to fix this over a year ago.

There is no such thing as a lost cause! Look at the pally blindness spell =)
I have hope that at least Nilbog or Kanras will make a new appearance in this thread.
