The Sauroposeidon is believed to be the largest dinosaur and creature to have ever walked the earth. The Sauroposeidon stood at 18 m (60 ft) tall and weighed 60 tons (132,277 lb). The length of its neck is about a third larger than that of the Brachiosaurus, its nearest competitor. It lived about 110 million years ago, during the mid-Cretaceous period.

How do you expect to get a legitimate informed opinion a group of people without.. attempting to see what they are like? App periods work both ways, it's not just the applicant being judged. In my time with Awakened, I saw control freak officers, shitty policies, and ugly attitudes from the members. They also failed their app to be my guild.

As far as why don't you go somewhere else to play. I've seen that pop up a few times recently, and that strikes me as a bad solution for someone who's invested years on this server and most likely enjoys playing here. A good analogy would be telling an American citizen, "If you don't like America GET OUT." Well.. well ok? But, but I live here. It's just as ignorant sounding and I don't think that idea should be proposed much more in the future for fear of sounding like a stereotypical dumb American.
If you've been on the server for years, you shouldn't have to join the guild to know what it's like and then go on to bash against a certain play style you basically knew you were signing up for.

A better analogy would be saying you hate politics and constantly bashing them, just to join a campaign a couple weeks later and then..... before ever getting a chance to know what it's really like, you start bashing them. You can't make an informed opinion about anything when you've literally put in maybe an hour worth of time with the group. It's similar to someone joining a company at a high position and wanting to mix up different departments without ever knowing the SoP and what works within the company. Those people need to spend at least a month analyzing each department before they can have a good opinion. Only caveat would be if you came from a very similar company with the exact same order of operations.

I hardly play anymore and I don't really agree with any play style in EQ anymore but I could give a shit less how other people want to play and invest their time. People spend more time here bitching about other peoples play style then actually just enjoying the game and their own.

On the American comment, it's not really the same. You can create a server for yourself, you can't create an America. Economics are based on the same premise, the people who invest more time and work smarter - typically are rewarded. You have the same argument in America about the rich and people who are poor, still complain the exact same way.

So not only should Cecily have already known fully what the guild experience would be like, but also you're criticizing Cecily for not staying long enough in the guild to fully know what it is like?

What's the problem: that a veteran player can't try a raid guild because they should be expected to know 100% what it will be like in a new guild, or is it the problem that the player in question didn't stay in long enough to get a full experience?

PS- your analogies suck

It strikes a cord for some that Filbus ended up not enjoying his stay in AM. It hurts even more because he has legitimacy on the server and is respected for his gaming ability.

This really seems to have struck a cord in some of AM peeps. It shouldn't.

He never said that AM are awful people, he simply said the time required for raids was too much for him. He even commended some of their players... How the fuck are you AM people angry about anything he said?

Shit didn't work out, just like any relationship that fails sometimes it's not anyone's fault it's just a matter of differences. It's not a matter of being right or wrong.

Dude doesn't want to raid as much as they require when they want it, Who gives a shit? It's his personal opinion and he has a right to feel that way.

Evaluate yourself if you got to bring gender, sexual preferences, suicide, insults into a conversation about what raid guild some anonymous dude chooses to join or not join.

I've argued with Maner before about certain points but it doesn't take a genius to see the " EQ political dick riders" are out in full force. Is it hypocrisy that Cecily was telling people to kill themselves a few pages back but when Maner makes any reference, he's crucified by the casuals? Yep. Is it hypocrisy that your asking for people to accommodate your casual play style but not theirs? Yep.

I'm sorry you guys are new to PC games but people are cut-throat. Go play a game of PUBG and let me know what you think about the atmosphere. Hell, you can't even really grief in EQ anymore and you can still grief in WoW(shitty game) and you still have people here complaining.
