Yeah, ironically the quest progression line is called the Hero's Journey.

That idea seemed fun to me before I remembered what dungeons were like in Throne and Liberty, where everyone was super toxic if anyone wasn't playing max efficiency at new content the day after release. Gamers are horrible people and no one should spend money on a subpar (75% mostly positive) dungeon only game full of people like you.
Its really not that bad. Most people are pretty chill. Sure there are sweatlords just like every other game.

I'm on the lower end of player skill spectrum. Dabbling through Champion difficulty now, with Paragon left....then there is Eternal for the real sweaties. I'll likely "finish" characters when I complete the Paragon Capstone and move onto the next "class."

Its just good clean fun.

Do not understand the appeal. Why would I pay $25 to run random dungeon finders, that's like the worst part of WoW. Only time I've ever enjoyed doing dungeons in WoW was when doing them with guildies, and even then it was a means to an end.
Because there is zero barrier to entry. No characters to level (can play any/all "classes" at a moments notice), no consumables, no stringent gear/IO checks. If I play for 2 months its already covered a WoW sub...without all the bullshit that comes with retail WoW (RIP SOD you were the best wow ever was).

You can make of it what you will. Sure there will be some shits involved but I've been playing for about a week and a half and its great. Scratching the itch. Its early access too I see a lot of promise here.

But yeah if you're not good at pressing buttons and not standing in fire I could see why you wouldn't like it. Its dungeon time-attack, where heal / tank DPS matters too, especially with only 4 players. Its not for everyone.

I can see myself getting 250+ hours out of the game easily. $1/hr is cheap entertainment.

It's cool you're enjoying it still. I know I like that type of gameplay, but I also remember how bad it sucked getting locked in with people who didn't know the mechanics. And how bad it felt to be the shitter who didn't know them. Think I'm gonna sit this out, but keep us updated if they do anything particularly cool with it in EA.

Just an update, Kenshi is still really fun.

yeah i mean at most its "wastes" 15 mins of your time not timing a dungeon and you finish it for some loot anyway

also all loot is personal loot no rolling against people

will keep updating as i progress through....im about "halfway" through from day 1 noob to the ultra end game
