Actually I agree now that i think about it. Plus get rid of winged death. It's too OP. As an int caster when i get dotted with it, It kills me in one cast. That's like a one shot cast.

Pffft for real.

Now that i think about it 10,000 foot swords aren't retarted and are realistic. Let's not worry that it's never been like that anywhere or anytime on live. Let's not worry about class strengths or weaknesses, we could just merge all classes into one and all play the same thing.

Oh i didn't think of that. Oh and i guess i could just cast levitate on my melee too. Nevermind. I guess there should be a common sense z-axis check after all.

Of course common sense dictates there should be one. It's like that on Zek now. Last month it was like that on Zek. Last year, the year before, the first year of Zek, the first year of RZ,TZ,SZ. The first day of EQ too. Not sure what i was thinking earlier.

Keep this thread on task bros -- less bickering about what you want to see changed, more beta testing of P99 PvP mechanics.

Rexx's preliminary findings are a good start, and sounds pretty fucking important. Need moar posts like that.

There should be no z-axis check on melee -- lest we forget about classic, melees will get dumped on until people get monsoons, haste items, etc. And from what I've read, melee damage is already subpar.

Instituting Z-axis check on melee during classic = a server of all mages (+ 1 cleric to heal), chain-casting lev rings and lavabolting people to shit. No es bueno.

Z axis is a nobrainer, I've messaged rogean to ask if we could have some sort of test server thrown up where vz/tz lays so we can test the mechanics properly, i'm not sure if that's possible with his current schedule.

The next thing on the list from what rexx already tested would be line of sight casting, all melee damage needs parsing properly, % hit chance, max hit % to lowest hit %.

Current bugs and exploits need listing properly, including zone crashes etc, if you don't want to do it here, do it in a pm, i know for a fact that people in the vz/tz community still know how to crash zones if they want, so pm that shit to a GM so we can remove retarded crap like that from pvp.

Charm/Fear both need looking at, whirl needs to be tested.

Casting interrupts need to be tested.

Can't think of anything else.

Stop trolling Rogean. Everyone knows if you want to be OP make a melee. Stop trying to make it worse. It's not anyone's fault that casting levitate on a melee gets the message...

"your spell would not hold".

also,

resists should not affect the duration of dots, or how much damage they do... they never did, it only affects if you land the spell or not
