A) He is doing what the people who elected him hoped he would do.
B) Democrats are doing absolutely nothing except take more and more radical stances, culling off whatever moderates still existed in the party. You can't win by shrinking your support.

Trump has shown to be resilient to media-created "mistakes", partially because the average citizen has been so ripped off by the mainstream media they just won't believe it anymore. Unless he makes a true mistake he is cruising into a 2nd term.
