Forums and MMORPGS were social media before social media but not like this social media. I do not ever recall being on [H]ardforums, a computer enthusiast site (before Vista/X360 killed what it was), and see any posters talk about pills, their pseudo-pussies, depression, dark shit in general.

This reminds me of Rogan Board which was brain-fucked by 4chaners. But that is most all boards today because the damage is done. Memes and all that nonsense are inescapable today and I am guilty of that as much as anyone. I remember apologizing to a board the first time i linked one.

All comes down to a sense of I'm this, not that. In group out group. In my case, it's a never ending liminal state. I'm kinda like this and kinda not. I don’t use it as philosophically, and instead usually more literally in regards to my form when trying to hike or run as quickly as possible with as little energy expenditure as possible. In regards to the aspect of water becomes the cup or becomes the teapot…I’ve always had a strong sense of loyalty, for example I was a die-hard Detroit Lions fan all through my childhood because my family was from Michigan. You definitely need loyalty to stay a Lions fan lol (they almost never win)

So if I see a problem with my group I try to fix it rather than bail on them. But I also have some strong narcissistic tendencies and ultimately if I see the problem as serious and un-fixable, I am definitely not going to die on a hill with them over it
