It's probably not true, but it's a legit example of what is tolerable in term of morality/legality even though she consented the State will see that as abduction. It's like the story of the cannibal couple who the wife consented to being eaten; she was consumed but charges were still filed for manslaughter even though it was consensual.
Obviously there is no place in the civilized world that allows anyone to consent to being killed. You are talking about an extreme.

But with even the most common fetishes that's a serious issue and, apparently, Australia and the UK are really REALLY bad places to practice anything remotely heavy or even basic impact play, because under the law there you can't legally consent to being assaulted. And it's not much better in some places in the US, with doctors being legally obligated to report what they think are signs of abuse, etc. All good in cases of actual abuse, but it can be a nightmare for some people who are into some things.

Then what people go through in divorces, especially where child custody is concerned. What was once a private, consentual matter between two married adults becomes ammunition for attorneys in an open courtroom. I don't know him personally, but there's a guy in my local area who had to endure this a few years ago, I'm told.

If you are really interested there is a forum on FetLife for legal issues like that. Crazy some of it.
