How does Sektors buying an account for someone who was going to quit anyway hurt this server? Not really trying to defend the person, and I don't believe for 1 second he sent the dude $300 out of the goodness of his own heart, but the act of buying an account does nothing except keep a geared character out of mothballs.

just goes to show the double standard fuckary that takes place on emulated servers. In terms of Cast not allowed to play but RMTers allowed to do whatever the fuck they want.

This place is no different than any other server ran for the sole purpose of someone's want to Lord over people.


Only difference in this monstrosity is that it's ran by the dude who runs the entire Eqemu project and steals development resources from the community so that everyone only plays on his server instead of maintaining the health of overall Eqemu.

Because its against the rules, because not everyone is allowed to do it, because we're an emulator and no one supposed to profit, I dunno any of those reasons plus the lost goes on

also not sure how this applies to free things like EQEMU, but doesn't the Doctrine of First-Sale (Which has been recognized for over a century) trump any over-bearing EULA and allow us do the following with any in-game pixels: we are entitled to resell it, rent it, give it away, or destroy it

EQ is a license to play, you don't own the actual game.
