I dunno why people talk about the pop as though it's a big deal. All MMO's have basically become instanced worlds for yourself and guild with little to no interaction with anyone else other than a central city hub where you use a trader and merchant. There's 200 pop here but I could name more people than I ever could when I was raiding in WoW.

People said this in classic and kunark with Nihilum. People here are pretty sick, they don't quit, they just make more alts. The empire break showed that many mobs can be downed with mid to high 30's. I'd bet everything outside AoW and the fear dragons could be done with the right class make up with 30 something people.

classic eq red when pop was at 120ish was so good. Wouldn't trade any of those players for 5 of the blues we have now.

then the scrubs joined and praised them as heroes for handing out drama free epics when in reality they had already gotten everything they wanted from nihilum, they were giving you shit they already had, duh. when competition came to show (vaporize return) the beloved leaders of empire decided to sacrifice gyno in order to bring him down and once again secure that there would be absolutely zero competition on the server. either way ames really put the nail in the coffin, this shits done son

WALL OF TEXT< I DONT FEEL LIKE TROLLING TODAY No one denying that other games suck even more, thats why some of us are still here, lol. There will never be another good MMO created, most of us know that . They don't make any money. Pay-to-win, or super ultra care-bear worlds with instances like you said. The future is bleak for MMOs. We could make this server fun, and actually create some sort of challenge, but people not really interested in that. 1. Guild cap at 45 members in a zone at one time , or adjacent connecting zones. Banhammer for any guilds that try to use un tagged members to rule lawyer numbers. Keeps pvp and PVE more challenging. Put aside your hate, even colgate knows this is the way to go. Now that he is BIS gear he probably even agrees more ! 2. Active GMs 3. Blue/red Xfers allowed, who cares about some idiot making 5 dollars a week on this game. 4. Actual set of rules, posted, set in stone, bans handed out by the active GMs that witness events. Replace sirken with someone who has actually played on an everquest pvp server. Nice guy and all but its too easy to "lobby" him. 5. Increase raid LNS timer to 4 hours. 6. GM rezs for anyone below 25, anyone cought trying to exploit GM time, by chain dieing/ rezing a character to train with gets all accounts banned. 7. Get caught lying to a GM you get banned, every account on your emu. 8. Forum accounts with posting privileges linked to in game characters above level 50, everyone else is only allowed to post in the trading/guild forums eliminates all trolling for fear of in game ban. 9. Tripple exp on Monday and Friday for anyone below level 25, more low level GM events advertised on Blue server and other websites. Plenty of things you can do to motivate people to play. It's a proven model on the pay to win games. Basically its all the same, you need a handful of GMs that just like the game, don't have some weird problem with authority and work for free. Above ideas are just a few, I don't personally like every single one, but I know how to create a better atmosphere for casuals, without destroying the game for more hardcore gamers. | |||
