You understand that anecdotal evidence doesn't equate to fact right?
Youve made a predetermined assumption based on your opinion that Fauci lied and the lab leak is real. (Because you equate Fauci with "liberals" and science as undermining your religious beliefs). You've only accepted information which bolsters that predetermined opinion, and reject information which may undermine your predetermined opinion.
In large part, this phenomenon happens with almost every fervent right winger out there (but in some cases, people on the left too, but much less so), so rest assured its not just you.
Theres a term for this, its called cognitive dissonance. Rejecting information which undermines an opinion you refuse to change.

No that's called confirmation bias, and you are exhibiting it hard in this very post. "Well, SOMETIMES people on the left do it, but it's almost always people on the right!!!". How could you even make such a statement? Do you have clairvoyant access to the totality of statements made by both left and right? Both sides do it all the time, because the vast majority of all people are too prideful to admit error.
Mainstream media outlets prey on this exact tendency also. They tell you things they know you want to hear and already agree with. MSNBC is extremely guilty of this, they literally never have on an opposing guest. It's a never-ending circle jerk of "trump bad even though he hasn't been president for ten months now", and essentially zero criticism of biden. And when they get something wrong, they just stop talking about it, they never issue an honest correction. This ensures they have a core audience who will always tune in, religiously, and make them money. Fox does it too of course. The only network left with any journalistic credibility is c-span, and lo-and-behold almost nobody watches it!
