I have a quick question

So Houston traffic is becoming like LA's and the area will increase to 10-12 million people (around 6 now) by 2040. Why do we need immigration again? Am I missing the great boon of an ever increasing population or something? Just my $0.02 but I think we'd be better off declining to like 150 million people as a country

Serious question. I'm not convinced that perpetual GDP growth is actually necessary for my children and grandchildren to have good lives

also your wealth is likely tied to interest and asset appreciation. that goes away if demand slackens.
