The only "control" Islam induces is self control, which is the struggle to avoid sin and work righteousness called jihad. Its a necessary system to stop suffering and corruption on earth. And anyone who disagrees with that is evil because evil is the dichotomy of doing good work. There are other limitations like not eating pork, but there's alot of good reasons for that if you have knowledge of pork and its ingredients, byproducts, and how pigs are raised. Its literally one of the worst meats you can eat, despite its flavor. So the only life we would leave behind is a sinful and wasteful one which are synonymous.
