I like the thunder sounds, it's just too frequent. There are no quiet rumbles it's always a large strike. It would be cool to update the sounds with better ambient loops. Maybe some birds in forests, owls at night, seagulls at ports etc.
Seagulls and Owls weren't invented until at least 2004, so nope.

I didn't see a Seagull in person until at least 2007, but there's still some IRL screenshots floating around the web from 2004-2005 so we know they were put in sometime around then.

Thankfully this mod exists. We wouldn't need it except the game decides to rain for 5 hours plus at a stretch so the noise can become tiresome. Was it really that way in classic?
Yeah, during the kunark era is was crazy. I think they did it on purpose to give druids something to do with their new weather control spell.

True story - I was shocked as hell when I was in TT and it stopped raining.

You know that point where the fog animation used to roll out and for an instant the draw distance was bugged and you could see forever? I distinctly remember my Voodoo 3 shitting itself so hard at the same instant I was experiencing TT on a nice day for the first time. It was like a double climax.

The weather is a known issue with EQEmu, in general.

Blame gnomes.

More legit than P99 is classic. S3DSpy is one of the oldest EQ mod programs to exist. Be more concerned about SourceForge.

I don't think anyone around here would steer someone into anything harmful.
