just going from what the message says it's likely one of 3 things:
1. Software is messed up and sending bad instructions, fixes are driver updates, OS updates, OS reinstall, anti-virus
b. CPU is dying, fix get a new CPU, confirmed with 4 Prime95 tests

Don't just guess first, check the BSOD dump file to see if it specifies where the problem occurred. It may make resolving the issue easy, and it probably will narrow it down between hardware/software. (Windows logging may also have some information that could be valuable...)
Additionally, when it comes time for guessing as to what the problem may be, it will be prudent to also consider drive/memory failure. I have seen issues that resemble his description before, and overwhelmingly the issue has either been memory failure or drive failure.
