I have never been into hardcore raiding or even thought about being in the top end guilds. Usually somewhere around the rules of having to play over a certain amount of time per week or mandatory raid hours lets me know I'm looking at the wrong guild.
What is sad after reading this forum is you can tell the people in these guilds or wishing they could be part of the group, are actually intelligent people, but are lacking some serious social skills. There is no reason for adults to be raging or bitching this much about who can be in what guild, or talk to who. There is also a lot of people who take offense to... everything. It sounds very pathetic. Maybe if my play style aligned with the guys that you "hardcore players" have to suck up to all the time I would have to deal with it to, luckily for me I don't have the same goals when playing the game. Even if you have always been this type of player that has to be in the top guild, have the top gear, etc. maybe its not too late to take a more a more casual approach this time around. You can still play just as much but be more social, join a normal guild that doesn't require a certain amount of nerd raging greedy freaks in it, and lower your stress while playing the game. I know there are good people in those guilds as well but we all know you have to put up with a lot of jackasses to accomplish the goals of those hardcore guilds, and it sounds like a lot of drama... for a game that came out over 10 years ago. We aren't exactly racing to discover new content with the new expansion.

I was actually really pissed that day, less because of Abacab but more because for a fucking half hour I was trying to get people to wake up and kill a few spiders and they were all afk. It seriously took Abacab most of an hour to wipe that raid and it could have been handled so easily.

I feel you on the possessive feeling in a guild though. Hardcore raiding has always lead to a decline in MMO's due to them being catering to. Hardcore raiding also led me to quit every game I've played. I was willing to do what it took but there needed to be a balance. When the game stopped being fun and turned into work (literally), it was time to go. 3:20am - Thursday *phone rings* Me: "Hello?" Guild Leader: "Why aren't you on? DV is trying to creep on Avatars" Me: "Go ahead and fuck yourself bro, I'm not logging into raid." Guild Leader: "You agreed to call list, you need to be on if you want to stay a member" Me: "Get fucked.. *click*"

I was never on the call list for IB, which is probably part of why I was expendable. I also never shared my account information; another strike against me.
The flip side, of course, is that when I logged for the night, I got a full night's rest and my accounts were never "hacked". I'm going to laugh when one of the IB officers sends me a tell to turn in my dragon loot (I have a BCG and a White Dragonscale Cloak). I'm kind of curious if they'll be able to get one of the devs to take loot off my characters.

Holy fucking shit Raren, you need to get a job and you need to learn how to type legibly. Unfortunately the former is not going to happen since you can't type out an intelligible resume and no employer is going to hire you. Here are some helpful tips that anyone who has graduated high school would already know, but that you're fucking oblivious to:
When typing "ppl", instead type "people". When saying "u", instead write "you". When writing "ur", please write "you're" or "your" (whichever is appropriate for the situation - I realize this one might be a little challenging for you though). Or alternatively, just stop posting entirely, you whiny little bitch.
