Luclin. I'd give anything to be able to exp Cec again... Except money.

Have the devs ever gone out to say exactly what will be done to the chars on Red? (assuming they do get rid of the server) I know the idea has been floating around that you would have the choice to move them to blue/green, but having a bunch of 60 BIS running around on a fresh server doesn't seem right.

I just think AA's would be nice, even if just general tab each point being lvl 51 over again.

I really think just AA's would be a good way to get more life out of P99, without going full Luclin.

I'd like SOME luclin content. No bizarre shit, no POK, but what if we could have luclin raids? Level 60 cap, but it would make things interesting for the top guilds trying to take down luclin raids at a disadvantage.

Other than that, a new server would be cool. Although the servers should MERGE once the sleeper's alarm clock goes off on 2.0.
cap was still 60 in Luclin, and PoK was PoP.

I personally don't care if the server stays right where it is, because once you're bored with it you move on and others will continue to level toons/alts/etc.

I really dug Luclin as a casual raider back on live, but PoP killed the game for me pretty quick. There's a great post a page or so back reminding everyone how the spires/nexus actually worked, so I also don't see a reason why this would nerf the port industry on p99...

For those that don't like the bazaar, other than being able to buy general tradeskill items or a spell or 2 from indiff to all vendors - the only thing I see it doing is getting rid of the ability to price gouge the shit out of players since items can be up for sale competitively at all hours. You get a very similar effect with websites like p99auctions (which a lot of players still don't even know about/use).

this.

also, new people will come to the server just to see "classic eq". it's not gonna die.

everyone who's like "hey, we need to move on and here's how" is missing the point. there's live eq for you if you want something that's continually evolving.

I look forward to the day when I'm done here and can move on to some other game. I don't want to be playing eq for the rest of my life.

exactly.. this server is as much a museum exhibit as it is anything else. the goal is to preserve (what has been arbitrarily defined by the server admins) "Classic EverQuest". new and old players alike will come and go just to see what there is to see. some will stay longer than others. it will be several years at least before P1999 "dies" even if it stays as-is.
