Yes. The Chardok fort is pretty similar to the Sebilis Chef/Bar area in terms of XP, and loot is probably better (before the AOE plague the Stave of Shielding was 40k, the Sarnak Battle Shield was 20k, etc). As a L58 in Kunark looking for a reasonable combination of loot and XP, the only camps that are clearly better are the Crypt and King in Sebilis and Charasis South. I spent a good bit of time there when Kunark came out because Sebilis was so packed.

Plus, let's not forget that Chardok AE is not classic. It was not possible to AE so many targets without going LD on your 56k modem. Plus, there was special code that limited the number of NPCs that would attack one player at once.

We now have level limits on epics because it was getting so ridiculous. It's time to limit PBAOE spells to 25 targets and force the Chardok mafia to get actual jobs to pay their rent.
this would have required gm'ing. so that's ruled out right there.

Time for a guide revision! First place I was advised to get exp in chardok was from you! Lol, that being said I wouldn't care if chardok was wiped off the map. (Though I do have fond memories of aoe'ing Seb on my wiz on live.)

Common sense would dictate that one does not try to set up a group in known volatile positions. but whatever, you were in it for the laughs, and that's exactly what you got, so you win i guess.
common sense dictates surrendering to the chardok aoe madness, sure. but sometimes common sense sucks. I miss chardok, personally. I liked xp'ing there on live.

kudos to swish for standing up to it, something I do not say lightly. he put his money where his mouth was, something I didn't do.

Is Chardok even a top 10 spot for XP for a actual group?
it would be, if you would be allowed to use it. it's actually amusing to me that you don't even know. how could you? you've never been able to do chardok regularly.

I am still confused.
The GM's are on your side of you start an xp group.
If you get trained because of aoe, /petition and you're in the right.
I don't understand why people act like aoe blocks you from using the zone.
Everyone is more than welcome to make a Chardok xp group.

Yes the aoe group will be upset if they have to call things off because of your group, but I feel like most people playing this game would be upset if they had to give up the mobs they were killing.
Yes, aoe kills most of the mobs in the zone, but it's similar to contesting spawns in a place like guk. Can't have AM / Lord / frenzy all at the same time if someone else wants to kill one of them.
