Sure they did. Wurmslayers were always easy to get, as well as 255 str.

I wish I could see a parse that included DoT damage and such.
Just parse your own...

CoT+Wurmslayer was a very popular combo, on my server, during kunark time period.

Mmmm yes. I was hanging out around Karnor's recently and was afking near a group. Saw this guy duel wielding Wurmslayers and this is what my logs picked up:

Level 50 Aruspice in Chardok that maxes for 150 and is oom with Wonderous Rapidity (70% Haste) sustains about 100-110 DPS. This is not factoring in charm breaks though.

Wizards suk for sustained DPS, but are awesome at burst DPS.....it's situational - but a situation that comes up frequently in XP groups.

Not only that but stuns, roots, etc.

Additional CC via Flux staff/root/rune basically means I can root park mobs and require little (if any) healing.

The ability to evac is nice to.

But when you pull 5 mobs and ENC/CLR were lom to begin with - you need shit dead quick. A WIZ would make the diff between a corpse run and a med break heh.

There's a lot you can do to break the mold and make yourself a viable group member as a WIZ.

Nuke/med is just underplaying the class IMO. I love my stuns. They are so useful - allowing CLR to get that extra 3 secs on a CH when things go south. Allowing the ENC to get their pets under control etc. The burst DPS is also great. Utilize all yer damn spells. Not just Draught of Wtf-ever-you-have.

Fully buffed, I do about 85 dps average as a warrior. Over 100 while discing.

Most groups I don't even really need proc weapons anymore as I hold aggro by straight up doing 35-45% of the damage each fight.

Yeah.. when I say classic I think classic... ie: not Kunark. Kunark is kunark, not classic.

We used to AE bomb Fear and have it completed in < 1 hour.

Everyone would Pile up, Chanters load their AE stuns. Puller would grab half the zone and bring them to the group. Chain cast AE stuns and AE nukes.

Of course.. that was probably 6 or 7 chanters and 15 or so mages/wizards
