I got no problem porting newbies and monks for free. A lot of 1 - 20 paths suck for Plat and it’s the kind of help I’d really appreciate if I was new. Additionally being a monk has it’s own plat based challenges. Just be sure to ask if it’s cool before I come to get you.

Corpse runs are always free.

After level 20, somewhere around twenty plat is fair. More if you’re near max level and even more than that if you’re in the top dog guild on the server.

I can’t believe these people sweating something you can do semi-afk with very little effort. Yeesh.

My wife’s druid is 28 on Teal. So don’t worry, poor ass newbies and dead dudes. Cool porters are incoming.

Fluxxx has been my dude for ports on Teal if anyone needs a recommendation.

I get that you're frustrated because sadly a lot of people who play p99, in addition to having very autistic tendencies and piss poor communication skills, are also very selfish and greedy. However, you're just as stupid if you don't just set an asking price if you are not satisfied with the donations you're getting.

I’ve noticed on teal and green porting feels different and posts like this really reinforce my hypothesis. In general the idea of “donating” for ports is currently bullshit. People are selling ports. For this reason I always ask “can you port me from x to y for z plat?”

I went through a period of asking my porters how much they would like, but it was like pulling teeth trying to get an answer from them (which I never got - it always ended up being something along the lines of "whatever you feel like giving"). Perhaps this was because I was asking Dial A Porters and I think maybe they have a no-charge policy? idk, but i wasn't getting answers so I just stopped asking.

I can second Fluxxx being a stand up porter. Dial a Port Wizzie that’s worth a good donation and will port with courtesy.

I view being a porter like I do as a bartender in a restaurant. It's all tips, I'm happy when I get them and dont complain when I don't. Yeah sometimes it sucks but sometimes it's great. I tell new people in my field this all the time. It's a game of luck and if you dont like it than it probably just isnt for you.
