What red fanatics fail to realize is that, without cool-headed diplomatic methods of dealing with conflict, human society would still be barbarians in animal skins crushing each others' skulls with rocks. Diplomacy existed on pvp servers. And it seemed to matter more.

You say "diplomacy," but somehow I feel you mean that a powerful guild might threaten to cut off a weaker guild's balls if they didn't give the powerful guild right-of-way amiright bromuscle

nope, diplomacy on pvp servers actually did mean more
between guilds and players..

you didnt want to be on the bad side of any guild or you might as well re-roll
again...
and if a guild failed to hold up their end, alliances were formed (again thru diplomacy) to wreak havoc on the other said guild

you would be suprised how smooth a healthy red server really is..
nothing to a blue server until you get to keyed zones or other things like epic mobs.. then the forums light up
red forums usually singles out the bad players, or the ones you want to KOS
(plus all the red BS on the forums you see here, theres no denying that is present lol)
1 guild may run things but theres 2-3 other guilds that are usually devising some form of plan.
and the end game handles itself..

And i dont mean these red emu pvp servers..
they will never compare to the past, and i doubt that will ever be re-created again
you would need a population the size of P99 to resemble it
