Its kind of hard to make a positive argument for a server that has 50 active players during prime time. EQ pvp has always been bad, server pops don't lie, give it up.

Also, i'd like to add that advertising another server on blue forums is just plain bad form. You all made the server what it is, now live with it without fielding some lame attempt to pull players from another server. If red is so much better than blue, you wouldn't need to make threads begging people to play on it in the first place.

I wouldn't call EQ PvP 'bad'.
Just not optimal.
Then again, if you want some real PvP you should probably just play an FPS anyway... or WoW (I hear the PvP in WoW is good). Alternatively, DAoC's RvR combat was pretty legit.

Still, I've turned in a few books to the PoD myself <.<; and I've had some fun.
Just gotta see what its like with FFA PvP.

I remember when Red99 was first announced, you all tried to make a huge deal out of it, like oh now we're going to have real classic EQ how it should be. The server pop was about even with blue for a few days, then it started to drop to where it is now. Its pretty obvious no one (besides a handful of you) want to actually play there. So yes, its a bit annoying to see these lame threads begging people to play on Red. You all literally bragged about griefing people off the server, now you got your wish, you can all enjoy your dragon loots with 30 or so other people. The server is there in plain sight, if people wanted to play on it they would be.

i.e. being tethered to your phone for a three day window waiting for the batphone to ring and praying its not after 3am when it does...

With Kunark in 2 weeks, a TON of content and raid content is going to be wide open for people to enjoy, with NO variance.

Might be a good way to experience some of the fantastic classic raid content im sure a lot of you remember from 12 years ago, but have not gotten to enjoy here yet.

There is no satisfaction in killing anyone in wow, or a fps, it doesnt set them back more than the 5 seconds it takes to respawn.

Pvp isnt for everyone. Its definately not sounding like its for you pal.

If youre good at pve, you will become good at pvp.

If u suck at pvp youre really gonna get owned by some people.

i dont think the xp is faster on red currently. if anything, the recent post about kunark on august 17th says an xp bonus of 50% (or is it 100%?) will begin a week before the kunark launch event.
i was getting 1% solo xp per bat and wasp at lvl 3-4 last night. too much effort to ask blues to switch over to red when the server is low and we have to level up another character in empty zones.
