7 days until LDoN. Finally we get to a point where EQ is largely instanced. Best change to ever come to EQ.

I long time ago when I was a teenager on a PvP server in Live EQ -- I would have lamented the death of non-instanced raiding. But this is because I knew it was the only way to make PvP matter on a PvP server.

Now that I'm grown up and don't PvP servers...I have to agree that instancing is by far the best alternative presented yet to the MMORPG playerbase.

I was playing Phinny yesterday, it just so happens its at the era EQ was when I started. Pretty close. I mean spells/abilities are slightly different -- but I think for the better. I'm also positive trolls used to have a tiny bit more HP Regen than Iksar.

Gloomingdeep gives anyone a good chance to catch up if they go temporary hardcore. The gear is pretty good for someone coming with nothing, especially if they buy a Krono or two.
