I'm sure it goes on, but its not obvious to me or in yer face or anything. You cant "really" sell kronor for rl cash. You can however buy kronos from daybreak then sell them in EC. Eventhough I'm like Lvl 12 and made myself banded and went vendor diving for a weapon, which is how I personally like to start with a pure noob on a server. It is extremely tempting to buy dat krono and flip it in ec.
