It is interesting how few people go on the “official” forum for a game with still a fairly active playerbase in the thousands (not concurrent thousands of course)
But yes, there is no need for a forum other than for in game petitions and bug reports, especially with such a robust wiki Normally non obvious moderation decisions (with the obvious category being porn, solicitation spam, gore, etc) are built around company commercialization and advertiser preference. Basically a “is this good for business” determination. Obviously the tighter the moderation, the quieter the platform though I’ve seen other platforms like Reddit or other company game forums not allow criticism of the actual game even, much less the development or mod team. That I’ve always felt is pretty ridiculous if it’s something like Reddit. When it’s the official game forum paid for and hosted by the development company I kind of understand it more, although I still think it’s bullshit, personally | ||
