Plenty of excellent content post-OoW.

DoN progression is fun to run through, plus the raids are good, specifically Rikki, Kessdonna, YarLir and Vishimtar. The Yar Lir / Vishimtar eye quest was an incredible addition to the game. I love class specific items with unique clickies. Pinnacle of EQ Itemization right there.

DoDH was an incredible expansion. Specifically the 5 mission chains leading to the resist clicky mask. Dreadspire access quest was great. Spligear aug have everyone a good Augment without having to grind through LDoN. This was also the expansion that released a ton of incredible spells 68-70 for all classes. Not to mention the raid content. Draygun/Sendaii before DemiPlane. Redfang, Hatchet and Sisters in Tier 1, Performer in Tier 2 and the Master in Tier 3. Really the final boss of Demiplane felt like the first true final boss fight since Ring of Vulak in Velious. Very long script, with many variants based on class makeup, plus the surprise midway through is incredible.

PoR I think most everyone hated. I only did Deathknell a handful of times but I found it fun.

TSS was the last full expansion with 1-75 content and a new race for EQ. If anyone is a classic EQ player this is the expansion to jump in during. New zones and dungeons 1-75, with very indepth quests and quest chains to follow you through your leveling up process.

Omens was like the last expac the late-stayers played.

After Omens most people called it a wrap and didn't bother with the next major raid expansion or check for it. We all relocated to WoW permanently.

Omens was the "alright thats it, we've seen all EQ has to offer" expac for the majority of us.
I was part of this crowd. It took a few months but I ended up playing WoW. A friend bought me the copy and told me to get back to gaming.

I did like the start of OoW. I did have a lot of fun with it but, ya ^^^ is exactly how I felt. EQ died for me, until I found Shards of Dalaya, then later heard about P99.

Dald,

When was Mayong event introduced. I'm not talking about the GM playing Mayong in classic. Supposedly MM event/raid or whatever you want to call it was released.

I watched it on youtube and it looked really cool. I always liked the whole backstory on MM.

Mayong is sort of a running joke as an overused foe because you fight him multiple times.

In Demiplane he is the final boss. The NPC is called the master until halfway through the event it is revealed his is Mayong. Fantastic event. Like 8 mini bosses in the script before, classes are paired up with similar classes and have Bane items given to them during each of the Tier 2 Demiplane events and those banes can be used at different points in the fight to do different things. So if you have a raid stacked with Wizards you can use their banes in a certain strategy to blow up some mini or phase of Mayong, whereas another guild may be stacked with mages and can let you skip a certain mini or certain phase etc. Fantastic encounter, 10/10.

Three expansions later, in Solteris you face him again as part of the "Two Gods" event which is the final raid of the expansion. You face off against Mayong and Solusek Ro. Great event btw!

Then again you face him during the Tower of Frozen Shadows anniversary raid where him and Tserrina have some lovers quarrel, again the final boss of that raid.

Wow. That's awesome. The videos I saw on youtube were pretty cool and it looks like if you mess up on certain things he can easily wipe the raid.

Thanks for the insight.
