I put some olive plants up on my ranch, mainly because of the time it takes to cultivate them. I thought it would be a good exercise in teaching some of my grandchildren discipline

I regret it. It has been a huge pain in my ass, probably because olives don’t seem well suited to messed up ass clay Texas soil

We had peach trees growing up in nacogdoches. I still can’t eat peaches to this day because they taste like shit compared to the ones we’d get from our backyard

The olives will be on the Greek island. As Kaveh alludes to they need a dusty rubbly mountainside.

We used to have an incredible ancient one on the mainland estate, but a worker cut it back too far, more or less killing it.

He hasn't worked for us again.

Feels.

I miss my loquats. It was murdered for "space". R.i.p.

I didn't lay down in front of it because I differed to and respected my mother's authority.
