1. Remove exp bonus completely
2. Remove Gate or double it's mana cost / cast time.
3. Fix unlimited range on aoe spells.
4. BRING BACK EXP LOSS ON PVP DEATH! Even better, double what it used to be.

Any form of exp bonus ruins the game. Want to play a melee? Roll a caster, farm, and re-roll just like everyone else.

Gate is plain stupid on this server. If I had my way, I'd have it removed completely. It needs to be nerfed so escaping isn't as easy and clicking a button and laughing at your ganker.

Pretty lame that you can nuke someone across the zone and under water as long as you got your spell to start casting. Need I say more?

There is now no reason to PvP on this server as a player that doesn't raid. I don't kill people for their plat, I kill them to waste their time. With no exp loss on pvp death people are going to treat a death like I do now. Rush your corpse until your enemy gets bored of killing you and leaves. What is the fun in that? I watched my roommate die 15 times to one person the other day with this strategy. It allowed me to get into the fight, win, and corpse camp his enemies for 3+ hours. How is this better than losing some exp? Want to know how long it took to get the exp back for those 15 deaths? 20 minutes. There isn't any reason to not be bound at your farm spot now. I plan to switch my bind as soon as the next patch is implemented. If someone comes to kill me, I'll just let them over and over until they leave. SO FUN!

For all the flamers, I'm not level 60, I have gate, a bugged aoe spell with unlimited range, my highest level melee toon is level 35 and I work a full-time job. These changes would affect me just as much as everyone else.

Well honestly a wipe may not be neccesary if they woukd massively increase the exp.

Increasee the exp so people can get to the only populated part of the serrver and wipe may not be neccesary.

But nilbog, the second time around we wouldn't have big content contender B guild banned dooming server pre planar release.

The second time around would have all the first time around exploits removed that doomed box pre planar by creating large disparity in levels and advantage.

The second time around would have better resists and a hardcore rules er as you say that would prevent what is the shit causing pop decline #n.

The second time around would have exp bonus, yellow text, and removed xp loss on death which was request during original beta.

The second time around could follow a true accelerated timeline since box is ready to roll out updates up to current point with very low dev work since its alrdy been done.

Scrap this public beta and release Red99 live.

My only recommendation to the devs is that any changes be implemented in baby steps. Large swings in game play mechanics would likely result in large swings in population (both good or bad). Adding yellow text and removing pvp xp loss are perfect examples of small scale changes; lets see what happens and then reevaluate other possible changes.

P.S. Wiping of the server would be bad imo. I for one would not re-roll on the new server for fear of just having my characters wiped again.

I would never play here if they wiped no thanks. The server needs fixes anyone can compete you saw what azrael did when they had enough people, the gear advantage meant nothing. The people on the sidelines choose not to play because they either think its (wrongly) corrupt, or they think the exp is too slow or the people they play with too dumb. A wipe won't fix any of that, if anything it would ony exasperate it. A FFA server will always have one guild on top dominating. Perhaps implement teams with a one time race change option or ability to choose your team even if it goes against the team code.

Again though this thread was for fixes that are able to be implemented not things that will never happen like wipes. I think contrary to some its not too late to implement item loot. Give people enough of a warning ahead of time to prepare accordingly. Fix resists with item loot implementation. Give a huge one month xp bonus to draw attention to server and call it a relaunch. Add in some form of a Leaderboard or point system (x points for kill or assist depending on player ranking and level) etc. Maybe a pvp vendor with some stuff. Shrug these are just my ramblings of what could make this server unique and enticing.

It would even personally be good for me as a developer to have unreported low level bugs discovered. It should not happen, though. Wiping characters isn't going to happen, as per Rogean and I agree with it.

From day one, I believe it should have been teams (2), item loot, and anti zone-plugging code. People thought it was too hardcore. Hardcore mechanics keep things in check when there are hardcore players. My IMOs.
i think i just came, changing sig to show my support

I don't have time for item loot. Maybe the hardcore neck beards have time to deal with that crap but I don't. As is the server is already more demanding than any modern MMO out there and I'm ok with that but adding item loot would just push me and others like me away.

LOL! Nice! Gate isn't a problem. As an enchanter I've had a couple druids try to gate away once rooted and I just interrupt with color flux. Hohoho!
